UFC CEO Dana White was requested for the primary time a couple of potential tremendous battle between Alexander Volkanovski and Justin Gaethje.
UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will face one of many hardest exams of his profession when he battles the unbeaten Movsar Evloev on Saturday. Volkanovski vs. Evloev headlines a stacked card at UFC 333, that includes a bantamweight trilogy between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili.
Forward of UFC 333, Volkanovski proposed a possible tremendous battle between him and light-weight titleholder Justin Gaethje. Volkanovski says he and Gaethje would grasp up the gloves after their tremendous battle, whatever the consequence.
Whereas Volkanovski is laser-focused on handing Evloev his first loss this weekend, UFC CEO Dana White appears receptive to a Volkanovski vs. Gaethje showdown.
Dana White pressed about reserving Alexander Volkanovski vs. Justin Gaethje
In a current interview with Foremost Occasion TV, White was requested about probably reserving Volkanovski vs. Gaethje after UFC 333.
“When a man will get to his stage and accomplishes what he’s achieved, there are only a few issues we’ll say ‘No’ about,” White mentioned of Volkanovski.
“If he’s obtained issues he needs to do earlier than he hangs it up, I’m positive we’ll be very supportive. This man will get in there with anyone.”
Volkanovski fought for the light-weight title twice earlier in his UFC tenure, shedding two fights to then-champion Islam Makhachev. He gave Makhachev arguably the hardest battle of his profession at UFC 284 in Australia.
Gaethje gained the UFC light-weight title at UFC Freedom 250, and is extensively anticipated to face high contender Arman Tsarukyan if he returns to the cage. However Volkanovski might probably skip the road if he needs to maneuver as much as light-weight after UFC 333.
Within the meantime, Volkanovski will look to add one other title to his historic resume, and Gaethje may very well be on the horizon.
